Gazzang, Inc., the company securing data in the cloud, today announced the appointment of Patti Soch to the position of vice president of finance and operations where she will oversee all accounting, contracting, facilities and HR functions for the company.

Soch brings two decades of experience running financial operations for technology companies. Most recently she was a consultant offering CFO services to a number of early stage, venture-backed companies in Austin. Prior to that, Soch was vice president of finance and operations at Phurnace Software, a high growth software firm that was acquired by BMC Software in 2009. She has also held strategic finance roles at System Fabric Works, VIEO, Inc., Visible Decisions, Inc., UniSQL, Inc. and Uniplex, Inc.

During her career, Soch has been directly involved in venture capital fundraising, complex global financial reporting, company acquisitions, overseas expansions and managing supplier relationships. She has served as an officer of several companies and has deep experience with early stage businesses. Soch has a BBA in accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington and attended SMU's Executive MBA program.
