Larry Warnock - President and CEO
Larry Warnock is responsible for Gazzang's leadership, operations and strategic direction. He brings more than 27 years of operational expertise working with startups and established technology companies to his role at Gazzang, particularly in the enterprise software and data center tools markets.
Larry is the former president and CEO of Phurnace Software which was acquired by BMC Software in 2009. Before joining Phurnace, Larry was the chief marketing officer at Vignette. He was also a venture partner at AV Labs (the company incubator for Austin Ventures). Before joining AV Labs, Larry served as vice president of marketing at OnLink Technologies (acquired by Siebel Systems). He also served as vice president at Documentum from startup phase to successful IPO to its position as a market leader and eventual EMC acquisition. Larry earned a bachelor of business administration in marketing from Texas A&M University.
Eddie Garcia - VP of Development
Eddie Garcia leads the engineering and development for Gazzang's products and solutions. He is also the chief architect of the zNcrypt product platform. He has more than 17 years of experience in both building and delivering commercial software products and in-house IT solutions.
At AMD, Eddie was responsible for creating tools that gave AMD's distribution and OEM partners the ability to securely collaborate. He was also the architect of the company's social network blogging platform and roadmap for secure cloud-based delivery. Eddie led the web security group at Pentasafe, authoring new products and tools for application security, and was also the senior architect at Perficient for key and strategic customer accounts. Eddie holds an engineering degree in computer science from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
Brian Brogan - VP of Global Sales
Brian Brogan leads the global enterprise sales and services team at Gazzang. He is a seasoned sales executive with more than twenty years of experience exceeding revenue and profitability goals in highly competitive technology environments. Brian’s sales expertise spans enterprise software, SaaS, storage, services and hardware via direct and indirect routes to market.
Prior to Gazzang, Brian was vice president of enterprise software sales at Verint Systems. He joined the company from Openwave Systems, where he ran activities related to sales, operations and partnerships including IBM, HP ALU, F5 and Juniper. He has also held sales executive and management roles at EMC, Legato Systems, Fujitsu Siemens and IBM. Brian earned his MBA in Finance from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York and attended Executive MBA programs at Harvard and Dartmouth University.
Patti Soch - VP of Finance and Operations
Patti Soch is responsible for finance, operations and human resources at Gazzang. She provides strategic guidance in the financing of our expansion as well as guides the execution of all accounting, contracting, facilities and HR functions. During her career, Patti has been directly involved in venture fund raising, complex global financial reporting, company acquisitions, overseas expansions, and managing supplier relationships.
Patti was most recently VP of Finance and Operations of Phurnace Software, Inc. Phurnace was acquired by BMC Software in December 2009. Over the last 25 years, she has held financial leadership positions in a full range of software product and services companies including System Fabric Works, VIEO, UniSQL and Uniplex. Patti has a BBA degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington and attended SMU's Executive MBA program.
Dustin Kirkland - Chief Technology Officer
Dustin Kirkland sets and drives the technical vision, competitive strategy and product roadmap for Gazzang. He is also the chief architect of Gazzang zTrustee, the company's breakthrough universal key management solution. Dustin has more than 10 years of experience developing and deploying Linux and other open source-related solutions, and is a co-author of eCryptfs, an enterprise-class, stacked cryptographic filesystem for Linux.
Prior to Gazzang, Dustin was a cloud architect at Canonical, where he was instrumental in bringing infrastructure-as-a-service (OpenStack, Eucalyptus) and platform-as-a-service (CloudFoundry) open source solutions into Ubuntu, designing and leading the team that implemented Ubuntu Orchestra. Dustin also spent nearly eight years at IBM as a developer and architect at Tivoli, in the Linux Technology Center and with Global Technical Services. Dustin was named an IBM Master Inventor in 2004. He has also founded more than two-dozen open source projects and is active in twenty of them, including Byobu, aNerd, OverlayRoot, and PowerNap. Dustin holds a bachelor of science in Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Texas A&M University.
